Browning is showing the limited ed BAR on their web site. I like High grade BARs, but this one doesn't really stike my fancy.

Wouldn't it be cool if just one rifle mfg came out with a limited run of Springfield 1903-A3 .30-06 rifles instead of these pimped out commemoratives for the 100th anniversary of the .30-06 ctg?

I like both UM's and NAA's ideas! I think the days when just about every manufacturer put out a high quality rifle at a decent price are over. Remember rifles like the JC Higgins Model 50? Hi quality FN at a great price, what more could a fellow want?

Nice gun, but why a semi ?

They should have brought back the FN's.:)
um

I would assume form a marketing standpoint, Browning is more synonymous with their Automatic rifles than their bolts.
They've been chambering those BAR's for a while in 30-06. First military applications, and now sporting. What better way to commomerate with both products. One boldly, and one quietly.
Just my opinion.
