BRS-99 Non-Restricted 9mm Carbine PREORDER

It's not theory.

Your making an assumption that charges will be laid and decision to prosecute is made by a Crown Attorney. Since there's no way to prove a person's claim one way or another and the law clearly gives a person a (30) day grace period to report modifications that would change the firearm's classification status, the likelihood for successful prosecution is low becuase the benefit of the doubt lies with the accused. Unless of course you believe someone is guilty until proven innocent?

There's nothing written in law or enforced by regulation that states that the date of alteration be notarized so that the (30) day grace period can begin. So, who makes the decision that the firearm owner's story isn't plausible under the circumstances?

Even Crown Prosecutors recognize poorly written laws when they see them.

Sure, there's always going to be inherent risk in modifying a firearm that results in a change in classification. Is it worth the risk? That's for the individual to decide.

The crown might just go forward with charges just to make an example out of you.
You might be able to get off the hook but you will be in debt for thousands of dollars.

One very ugly gun which I doubt it is a safe gun or if it is accurate in the least

I dont know wht the idea is behind this gun but I wouldn't come near this piece with a 10 foot pole.

A safe gun? You mean one you keep in the safe?
What is a safe gun? Every gun is safe, as long as you don't point it at what you don't want to destroy.

These guns are extremely well built. Very robust, and accurate with the short barrel.
Have you even looked at, or held one?
You doubt based on what? You have a feeling?
Perfect.

Dook....ur wasting ur typing skill, most dont know how these perform, so they will miss out. Ha sure its a safe gun, in Canada we have to keep them in all in safes!!!

"those grapes are probably sour anyway”

Do you need a gunsmith to change barrels?

No. You can unscrew the nut and just swap the barrel. I used to own one and it was very easy to do. It was a little fun... it was more for looks than anything though. I sold it as I thought it was a lot of money tied up into a gun that I wasn't overly happy with. If I could change one thing about this gun, it would be the handguard. Even if you install the foregrip, it is very uncomfortable as the back end of it is plastic and square, not rounded. The stock foregrip is very ugly, especially if you don't fill the giant hole in front with a flashlight... if you remove it, the front end of the gun looks very misshapen and the trigger guard looks goofy... my 2 cents.

I personally would hold off for a BXP or buy a Skorpion if I wanted a fun gun.

For those wanting a non restricted BRS-99 but not loving the look of the non restricted barrel length, have no fear. A barrel shroud has been introduced and is going into production in the next 2-3 weeks. It enhances the looks of this neat little sub gun considerably.

Keep in mind that the non restricted option of this carbine was originally brought in for people on gun nutz who requested it. It's impossible to please everybody. Please keep in mind if you don't like the looks with the long barrel, you can always purchase the shorter barrel and register it to restricted. This is a great little gun for the money.

Please see the enclosed pictures of our prototype shroud. We expect the production model to be almost a carbon copy, with a few tweaks.

Perforated looks much better I think.
I agree with giving the option for mounting a red dot.
Did I mention perforated?

This is gunnutz! You can't please anybody, never mind everybody.
I am happy though.

My problems with this gun are:

1. 9mm (I'd prefer 45ACP)
2. Non-restricted with any shroud looks ridiculous
3. 5 rounder

But I do love how it looks restricted (which is the only way I'd go with this) and the magazine design looks nice. Just don't know if I could get past these issues tho. Anyone else with experience with these please chime in as to why you like em so much.

I thought these things has a top rail or were at least drilled to mount a top rail for an optic. I've seen pics of them with optics and a rail. Anyone know for sure?

Purchase a KRISS and you eliminate 2 of your 3 issues. Purchase a JR Carbine and you've solved all 3 issues.

As I've said before, it would be easier to find Atlantis than please everyone on this forum.

North......nice response....too bad the Kriss jams and the JR...... well you just need to use one and see!!!
Thank you for bringing us great, proven, quality NR/R firearms the rattle the market!!!

True, but that applies to everything and every gun in this world, not just this forum/thread.

I guess they just have to please those with money in their pockets to burn. Your response helped for sure so in this particular case, I'll go blaze my dough on something else.

Thx for the response.

That top cover is not the rail type. This is the older pattern carbine.

I'm old enough to regret not buying things when I could. Had a chance to get HK94 for $600 and MP41 for $400. This is worth having.
