Every country has their own legal definitions...
It seems like some of you are working against this...
Its a rifle because of the attacked (sliding) stock and it is only allowed 5 round mags... in its "stock" form from the factory it is restricted.
Want to play in the bush...lengthen the barrel to legal size to make it non restricted. End of story...now everyone can play to their liking.
AS LONG AS YOU INFORM THE CFC OF THE STATUS CHANGE YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.
I'm not working against anything. I just didn't know they were classified as a rifle in Canada.
