Since there's some interest in mounting a rail for a red dot here's what I did. At the front of the top cover I mounted a 2" piece of picatinny rail by drilling 2 holes and using 2 short screws/nuts. Plenty of clearance for the nut underneath. Solid and works just fine. This is just one method. While at it, I removed the hand guard and mounting block and installed another piece of picatinny rail and used the same screws. Bought a folding grip off Ebay and installed it, a little loose but I think the factory one also has some play but once you grab it it's firm.
One of first ones into Canada and has the grey finish.
Note, I removed the barrel nut for some reason. It now has the non-restricted barrel/shroud as well as the restricted barrel. This one is from the next shipment and is black, not the current version.
