Edit: March 2019. Doing an "old post" review of my activity on CGN: this post is irrelevant now. Parts were sourced from Europe.

I am posting this here for the wider and more appropriate audience to reach: the mods may move it to "chit-chat about non-member businesses" forum though.

I ordered a Pedersoli main spring from the female sounding voice (the lady) that answered the phone at Bruce Tauber Gunsmithing way back in May or June of 2017.

I have not been able to get a hold of them since August 2017 when she said the order would be placed: I keep leaving email messages, texts and phone messages each month. They have my phone number and email but I have heard nothing in at least 7 months.

In case they had a family emergency or some other issue I am unaware of I am not in a panic nor upset. However, I would like to source that spring elsewhere if needed.

Has anyone been in contact with Bruce Tauber or the lady? Have they had an emergency?

Once report is he's just very hard to get a hold of as a busy person.

Another stated he was at the LLoyd gun show, so I'll see if he shows at the Edmonton Region one.

This can be deleted, locked, etc: It has been 8 months and I had to pay 400% of what Bruce quoted me to get a spring. Yet another tale of "gun broken for over a year to get parts in Canad for too much money" scenario.

So did you end up getting the spring from them? Or did you have to source it elsewhere?

The long story: I got a hold of a woman at Bruce Tauber's number twice. Once in May of 2017. I was told to phone back in August as I just missed their spring parts order: they would place an order in September again. I made the order and was told when it arrived they would phone me for payment, some time in December. The phone was answered first call both times.

Never a peep, never a return call and never once answered the phone calls and emails every week from December to the start of this thread.

Gary Howe in Shooters Choice had no time for me, didn't seem to care that i was phoning from Alberta: he had someone on the phone from Nova Scotia and din't want me to call him back.

Marstar only had a parts kit for a lot more money (more parts, would have to be fit).

Another CGN member directed me to the replacement generic part at Dixie Gun Works, but they would only send by UPS (not USPS) with unknown shipping, duties, taxes & brokerage fees.

I sent Pedersoli two emails.

Another comment on this site, a different thread, got me a better email address at Pedersoli to get their attention (thank you kindly great sir). Pedersoli has been kind enough to make a "work order" to pull a mainspring off the production line and sent it with prepaid shipping, duties, taxes and no brokerage fees.

So, yes, I had to go straight to the Italian factory to get it.
