BSA 30-06 Bolt action

Have not seen the firearm and only know that it's a bolt action, a lad wants to get clear of it, however, I don't know anything about them.
There were several different models that ranged from mediocre quality to very good.
Depending on condition and model it could be worth somewhere between $200.00 and $800.00 . This also assumes it is an actual BSA sporter and not a BSA sporterized M1917
