BSA 4-12x40AO???

I've had 2 BSA scopes, both on rimfires. I think that BSA stands for "Bought S**t Again". Hope you have better luck than I did.

I had the 4-12 A/O "Sweet 17" model on my HMR. Same scope, fancy turrets with BDC. Anyway, the scope was decent enough for what it costs.....Optics were decent, was a little "dark" at 12X, and the A/O was sensitive....but it tracked consistantly, and got the job done. Would I put one on anything other than a rimfire? Nope. But it worked OK for the .17.

If I may comment The BSA and other inexpensive scopes such as Tasco or bottom line Bushnels are fine for mild recoil rimfires but when it,s a trophy buck and you have spent hard earned money on a hunting trip get a scope of proven reliability such as a Leupold as the ability of the cheap scopes to hold zero can,t be trusted on a centrefire this I learned the hard way years ago good luck
