BSA CF2's

I have one in 300 Win Mag I need a bolt for, if anyone knows where there's one available. - dan

I may know where one is , it's in a brutally abused , basket case rifle . Unfortunately , I have no contact info with me , I'm in SE Asia until around March . When I get home , I'll look him up , if you can wait ?

Sure, thx. Tradex has none. I know all bout the SE Asia connection, lol. I worked there for years. - dan

I had a pretty nice one from Tradex in 308W. Shot very well and worked perfectly. Only drawback for me was the very long LOP, which seems to be popular with older Brit sporters. But a very nice rifle, very solid, and interesting engineering.

As mentioned before, BSA had a very neat design for manufacture, where the trigger sear was used as a bolt stop. The location of a milled slot in the bolt varied depending if the rifle was to be used for a shorter or longer cartridge. That allowed for one size of receiver and bolt.

Still with a milled bolt and receiver, very good quality Jessops steel, great bluing, adjustable trigger, non rotating bolt guide, and nice Williams sights.

One weak point on the design was the aluminum trigger guard and floorplate assembly. Enthusiastic owners can easily overtorque the action screws and damage the floorplate/trigger guard.

An excellent product from BSA overall though. I'd definitely buy another....the comments about the 6.5x55 versions are interesting....

That's a great looking rifle.

Shoots very well too, they made less then 1700 in 6.5x55.
For carry, I have an unusual HVA Dahlberg in 6.5x55 with 53cm barrel that light and handy.
It has the cheek piece flattened which allows you to get right behind the scope with your eye, works very well.
