I need your help. I'm trying to establish it's value.
I'm also wanting to replace the butt plate and I'm wondering where I can find original or after market parts.

Generally, people are reluctant to estimate a value without seeing pics or a detailed description of condition. But, and I'm talking ballpark here, an immaculate Model 12 will sell for around $700 or more to someone who really wants one.;) That said, I know the guys at my club won't spend more than $400-$500 for a decent shooter. Some folks might pay more if it has a take-down bbl, or if it has the Parker Hale 7 rear sight. I'd advertise here on the EE to get the greatest exposure.

As for the buttplate, a cracked original (and I've seen more cracked ones on Model 8's and 12's that not) is better for overall value than an obvious replacement, keeping in mind that many people who buy these guns do so for collector value.

My $0.02, YMMV.

Condition!

Pics! X2!

Been seeing them priced all over the map. Top end, clean condition, with original sights (BSA No. 8, or Parke Hale No. 7) and a good bore to get top dollar, and some slow to sell at that.

Cheers
