I just bought a BSA Martini rimfire off a fellow Gunnutz-haven't got it yet but I am looking forward to seeing it.Not exactly sure what model it is-but it was described as a #6-medium weight barrel.The butt stock was butchered by adding a cheek piece[it is set up for a scope]not pretty,so I'll have to see what I can do with that-worst is ordering a replacement from Boyds.This one looks to be a lighter sporting model rather than a bench rest target rifle.Anyway,my first Martinni and a nice addition to my .22's-I have a Husqvarna rolling block in 22 short-very petite and a nice shooter[courtecy of Tradeex] and another Husqvarna single shot bolt action straight stocked .22[again,Tradeex] and some old Mossbergs and a Savage #74 falling block.There's just something about old .22's...

what I am looking for now is any opinions/experiance on the BSA Martini #6 .22
 
No experience with the #6, just the later Model 12's and 13's, but if the bore on your #6 is good, you'll be very happy with the results on the range. Of the dozen or so BSA Martinis that I've seen in action and shot myself, not one has failed to impress. thanks-thats the best information I have seen on the #6 yet.The seller describes the bore as ''excellent'' and shoots dime sized groups at 50 yards.The biggest challange is going to be how to fix the buttstock and make it look nice
 
Yes, that's a great site for all things BSA Martini. My two Model 12's will also do dime-sized 50yd groups. He wasn't kidding. If you do your part, the Martini won't let you down. There's a few sources for stocks in the UK, and check with the guys in the Martini forum at Rimfire Central. they can shoot real well with normal ammo and if you spring for some match ammo it should shoot even better

this is one martini that has always sliped through my fingers
