BSA Martini - value "as is" or try to restore?

Seen too many otherwise good tools rusted to uselessness because someone thought that WD-40 was good stuff.

Straight weight, non detergent motor oil is my first pick for an oil, LPS-3 for a long term preservative.

I've heard pretty good things about Lanolin based metal preservatives, but not used them.

If you rust your gun using Brownell's advice, do you get a discount on the parts you have to buy from them? :D
