BSA Martinin 22 LR C Broadarrow marked

Bdft, based on your pictures in Post #7 where the tag has no markings I'm sort of thinking that it was never issued to a Cadet group.

I've got a similar age and model with the same markings. But my issue tag refers to a Cadet Corps group that operated in New Brunswick from well before WWII to just before the war ended. This keys in with a serial number check which puts my own BSA's birthday as 1928.

And yes, these are a superb rifle to shoot. At the same time it both makes me look like a better shooter than I feel I am and teaches me that I'll never be as good as the rifle can be. :) It's still a treat to own it for this period of time before it moves on to some new owner in due time.

Nice No 12
My No 12 has a loose barrel how do you fix it?
My International shoots great but I am looking for a scope and rings that will fit on the factory PH bases.
I shoot my Greener Martini off hand in the metal silhouette shoots.

If it is not a takedown, with a tapered pin to lock the barrel to the receiver, you pretty much have to find someone willing to do the very fiddly job of either tuning an extra thread on the chamber end and setting it back so it closes up snugly, and properly timed.
Or you #### about with shims or spacers for the barrel to squeeze tight on when installed.

Like enefgee, I also have a C-Broad Arrow marked one that has the non-standard barrel, pretty much a Model 13 length, with a Model 12's weight.

Nice rifle but I cringing when I see that knife jammed into the trigger guard to prop the rifle up for photos. Get a wooden dowel or something!
