I already had a tasco varmint 6-24 and although it is a decent scope for the money, I found that it gets quite dark and blurry after about 18x, so I rarely use it beyond that. I was looking for a new scope for a .22lr and ended up bying a bsa platinum off ebay for about $100 delivered. I figured for that price I'd give it a try as I really didn't want to buy another tasco but did want the 6-24x range on a tight budget.
I must say I'm very impressed with this bsa platinum especially for the cash. It came with metal screw in lens covers and 2 metal sunshades. I use it right up to 24x and its still tack sharp and reasonably bright. It really puts the tasco to shame in these areas. Alot of internet reviews I've read of bsa scopes in general seem to be less than stellar but I think its the cats a** for the price. Anyone have any experience with this bsa platinum 6-24 scope?
