I have a BSA platium 6-24 scope, and the seal rubber from inside the eye piece has broken and come out. Can anyone help me find out where I can send this scope for repair. Hopefully a BSA warranity shop. I also wonder if it is worth fixing. any help will be appreciated.

Dont bother, I had one the reticle broke after about 20 rounds from a 30-06. I emailed back and forth with them for a few weeks and got nowhere.

Ditch and buy a real scope, I won a rimfire model like your and have never mounted it on a gun.

thats what I feared, was a gift from my wife, so I thought I would see what could be done. Hi ho Hi ho off to the garbage I go. thanks for the reply. Earl

Find out from the wife where she bought the scope, Let the dealer deal with the warranty for you.

When BSA was getting thier scopes made in Japan, they were good scopes, Once they sourced them out to China the quality went south.

my wife purchased in from Cabelas(spelling?) in the states. yes it was made in china. with all the hassle of getting things back and forth from across the line now, I was looking for a Canadian repair location. You know the life time warranity thing.

Cabelas is in Canada now too, I believe a location in Quebec and they also bought out bought SIR in Manatoba.

Maybee they will help you, Service what you sell kind of thing. Just a thought anyway.

Ted I doubt very much that Cabelas is going to have anything to do with a scope from Canada, there is a canadian dist for them I think as we have some models @ P&D.
The new rimfire models aren't that bad, I put a 6-18 on my ruger 204 works very nicely for the money.FS

Ted I don't think its a question of honoring the warranty, it would be the legality of shipping a scope to and from the USA. Cabelas will not mail order scopes to Canada, last time I checked. FS

Okay, I get what you are saying now......but if they are Canada, why couldn't they just do the exchange here?

thanks for the interest. I also checked and knowone wants to or cannot ship scopes to Canada. I think I will give SIR a call and see what they can do if anything. Cannot be out more than what I am now.
