Hello all, I'm in the Edmonton area and find myself in need of some parts to restore a bsa scorpion. Does anyone know of where to get parts in Edmonton or even Canada for that matter. I know I can order from Chambers out of the U.K. but wanted to check for more local sources first. On that note anyone ever deal with Chambers or import parts from the U.K. ? . I'm wondering about shipping cost and possible customs issues. And on another note I'm also looking for a baikal mp654k markov pistol if anyone has one to sell.

I have ordered airgun parts out of the States and there is no issue there, I can't imagine it would be any different for the UK. If you want to know what it will cost from Chambers then process an order and when you get the final price decide if its worth it, if not then cancel the order.

Thanks for the info, that's likely what I'll do. Chambers is short one item I need so I was holding off hoping someone might have another source. Maybe I'll fish around some more for a U.S. supplier, doesn't seem like there is anything in Canada.

Please PM me your e-mail addy.
I have a sizeable inventory of BSA parts for the Scorpion pistol, and a few of the rifle models.
All the parts are cataloged in the form of an MS Excel workbook, with the parts listed by both the BSA part numbers, and the Ithaca (Canadian importer at that time) part numbers, as well as by description.
I am located in ON.

Be careful with the Makarov should you find one. If I'm not mistaken they are built on a real Makarov frame and therefore are prohibited. Personally I wouldn't touch one with a ten-foot pole. The juice just ain't worth the squeeze in that case. If you really want an air-powered Mak, I believe that Umarex is making one now that looks just like the genuine article, but doesn't share any parts with it. They are a non-gun and perfectly legal, same as any other sub 499 fps air pistol.

As well J+G airguns in the USA ships to Canada[new mainsprings].I ended up getting parts from there and John Nibbs a former BSA employee who bought up all their remaining parts inventory lives in Scotland....UK shipping no problem on airguns about 12 days to the door...If you have the .22 version they are known for generous sized bores so larger pellets are best.I have measurements for making a tophat.Harold

Thanks for all the input, have some parts on the way, as for the mak I've been told it was never officially prohibited in Canada although it was at one time in the U.S. Nevertheless I have not seen anyone importing it for some time so there may be something to that. If anyone else knows anything about it's current status please let me know. I have seen the umarex version but there is really no comparison in quality there, although I here it's a great gun for what it is and especially at the price. To mbogo3, I'm not familiar with the term "tophat" as it refers to airguns. Let me know as you have sparked my curiosity though.

A top hat is a looks like it's name .It goes upside down inside the mainspring against the piston to insure a truer fit/smoother cycling as well as various thickness to get a little more fps pre-load.Leonardj has forgotten more than I know about airguns.I'd follow his suggestions.....they are machined out of Delrin rod...Harold

Thanks Harold, now I know what you are referring to. I've seen these on some other sites, as for Leonardj he's proven to be an excellent resource which I'm sure I'll be calling on again in the future. Heck of a nice guy too from what I can gather. Would certainly recommend him to any others looking to spruce up their English guns.
