Hey guys, recently acquired this little guy from another great CGNer. It’s a BSA War Office Pattern Miniature Rile. I’m wondering if there’s many others like it around? Mine has the flip up tang aperture rear sight and is a mag fed repeater. It’s missing the standard back sight and ears, but I’m ok with that.

When I aquired it the mag floor plate was missing and the mag was tweaked a bit etc. I made a floor plate from an SKS charger and modified the spring it came with, played with the mag and got it tuned up. I took it to the range today and shot 150rds through it. What a tack driver and a beauty little rifle to shoot.

The largest 4 shot group in that target was 1.022”. The smallest 4 shot group was 0.2165”. To say I’m impressed is an understatement!

This model rifle was not highly thought of in South Africa. Second paragraph from a document in our Military Archives.

Wow they sure didn’t care for them, hey? Too bad, they are a very stout feeling build. The bolt and action seem pretty robust.

I’m very happy mine shoots that well then.

The magazines clearly must have been an issue, doesn’t seem like many have survived?

The tang sight is a blessing. The long sight radius and adjustable aperture are very nice to shoot.
