Does this work off a different system than ar15?

Does anyone have them in stock?

Anyone have any accuracy report grouping sizes?

Out of stock at the distributor, Wolverine Supplies. A google search might turn one up at a Canadian dealer....

The are quite accurate (I have the 10" Barrel) and are very soft-shooting and reliable. They are heavy however and very expensive! Prices start at $3880.00 CAD.

It's a short stroke piston system patterned after AR-18 (like a majority of modern piston systems in the West).

Lower is plastic, upper aluminum. Recoil spring has a rubber recoil buffer, 10.5" version has a brake/suppressor adaptor, making it very pleasant to shoot, but loud. BTW, suppressors are legal in Europe, being a health safety equipment and noise reduction equipment for hunting.

line of sight is European chin-wield, so you will need either a cheek riser or have to mount aimpoint without an AR riser.

It being not banned yet is either an oversight or by design (there is nothing inherently different in its function from firearms recently banned), so I expect it to get banned next time it is convenient to Liberals.

I grabbed one for $3300 a few years ago during one of their Black Friday sales. Non-res barrel and yes, its heavy! Feels like you're holding an RPK except 100x more accurate.
Worth every penny IMHO.

Don't wait for a sale in today's political climate. Buy as many non-res semis as you can afford!!

They are fun - I recommend you get! I find the NR too nose heavy and not as cool.

Buddy has a NR model...very accurate and smooth handling/shooting. Folding stock is nice as is the all ambi controls from the factory and a pretty decent stock trigger too!!!

Little heavy yes, but its not bad...an optic balances it nicely.

I've always wanted one because they look cool to me. How is the trigger on them btw? One of the things that spoils you if you are an AR guy are the aftermarket triggers. It's very hard for me to like a gun with a bad or even mediocre trigger.

Triggers honestly suck for such an expensive rifle. I'd compare it to a Glock - take up is mushy and the break is 'round' as opposed to a tuned AR trigger that is smooth on take up to the first stage and then a nice 'crisp' break at the second stage.
The rear shoulder stock is a joke - yeah it folds - big deal. It is cheap with a ridiculously short and no adjustment in the length of pull.
Swiss made internals, so there is quality craftsmanship there in other parts of the rifle, but for the price these went for, a pretty big fail overall.
Maybe now that they are some of the few that are left standing (for now), Wolverine can sell a few....

Ya they look neat but so does a DD MK18 and the latter is a better rifle and costs less money so I could never justify it. I think we've all been spoiled by the AR platform but I am really no fan of platforms without easily obtainable replacement parts anymore.

the long barrel models are known to be nose heavy and slightly unbalanced. Quality seems to be great except a few users reported soft primer strikes ( firing pin) You could get some at good prices 2 years ago on the EE. Now it is not worth it IMO as ppl are asking too high a price for it.

In these tough times, Buy Canadian. Buy a Modern sporter, get better ergos, maybe crazy deals on some ar15 parts and you can easily customize it too your needs.

This is my impression of the APC223.

First of all, it is very well made, but it is also a very SIMPLE and sturdy design in a sense that it is made of massive metal blocks floating inside an aluminium box. It is an extrusion tube with a trunnion block nailed down by 8 torx bolts. The bolt group is very simple.

However, this simplicity doesn't address some of the issues a "military weapon" will have to resolve, but the "P" in APC means "police" or "practical", so this is never intended to be a military grade rifle.

The receiver is "porous". The charging handle slit is wide compared to Bren2 - because it opens on both sides and it is not sealed during cycling, and the opening is directly above ejection port, any sand and dirt will drop right into the magazine and get pushed into the chamber. In SCAR, the bolt carrier extends all the way to the front to seal the charging handle openings during cycling. in CZ 806 Bren 2, CZ made the charging handle non-reciprocating to seal these openings. In G36, the opening is moved to the front so dirt won't drop right into the magazine. This is the biggest weak point of the APC223. While it looks like SCAR and Bren2, it probably will not perform the same in NATO environmental tests.

I owned 2 of them, I really tried to like it, but it just wasn't for me. The stock made that rifle just plain horrible to shoot with an 18.5 inch barrel.

The stock issue can be fixed with the AR extension tube adaptor, a CTR stock and the cheek riser of the height you prefer. Yes, for a rifle of that price it should not need all the extra money to make useable. Like thumb said, this should be 2000 USD, it has no chance in competing against CZ Bren2 ( it sells for 1700 to 2000 ) in the US, which is almost perfect for that sort kind ( aluminum extrusion box push rod ) gun .
