Bubba, again....

Hunting is not a sport for poor losers.
If you can't afford your own darn gun, take the time you would have been hunting to look for a better job.

With something expencive like a firearm or a vehicle. I will never lend them to anyone but close family.
Lent a snowmobile to a friend as a teen. Came back after he wrapped it around a tree, never offered to pay for repairs. Seen WAY WAY WAY to many guns lent to friends that came back screwed.

Yeah... nobody uses my guns unless they are under my direct supervision. I paid good money for this stuff, and I don't want to pay it twice if I don't have to.

Lol wow.

Methinks this is what the bubba enfields are for...loaner guns.

No, bubba'd Enfields are for reworkin' into nice little plinkers.

I am quite surprised that they never tried cleaning the barrel out with a bullet, to push out the debris, that would make sense to me, one time should be all you would need, but twice would be better. On a side note did he borrow the bullets to.

Well if a man treated my stuff with such disregard that would be very hard on a friendship. Having said that, a Krag is 7x57 sounds really cool. That is a rifle I would enjoy owning.

It is on the way to the 'smith. Will post more when it gets back.

Ted

Im curious to hear what comes of this. Ive also learned the lesson of lending things, luckily with less precious items.

My younger brother lent a model 70 win chambered in .270 to an old neighbor of his this season. The fella took excellent care of it, though he lost some brass after he shot it, he wanted to purchase a bag of brass to replace it, also did an excellent job of cleaning it and taking care of it. I guess there are a few good folks out there, but once bitten twice shy they say.
