How did you find top dead center on the barrel? Did you simply eyeball it, or some combination of holding fixtures? I have a cut plain barrel I wanna drill and tap for a raised bead. I'm thinking about just designing and printing some sort of jig.
I taped and ran a thin string line from the center of the top receiver flat area to the center of the threaded choke adapter till it lined up visually centred, was a bit of measuring and a bit of eyeballing and shouldering. The choke adapter has some relief cuts machined into it and I’m pretty sure one of the ribs was already at top center where it was screwed up tight.How did you find top dead center on the barrel?
