Visited a friend last night, and he showed me his dad's old 6.5X55 Norwegian Krag. Someone had borrowed it for a moose hunt, and ended up using it for a crutch on the way out of the bush. The barrel got plugged with mud, sand, and other junk off the forest floor. No problem, we'll take care of that.....
Believer or not, the guy tried to clean out the barrel with a drill bit welded to a long rod! He then proudly presented it back to my friend to give back to his father.
So, I am on the hunt for a Krag barrel. Also posted this under hunting rifles, as I would really like to get this fixed up for him if possible.
