Heres a photo of my newly deactivated FN C2A1. She was still a live rifle just last week, but is now forever a wall hanger.

Some might say it was the drill bit getting dull, but I believe you could actually hear her scream as the drill went through her receiver and into the throat.
I could rationalize it by saying something stupid like: ' I guess better a wall hanger than a safe queen. At least now it can be displayed." But deep down I know that the current government laws have led me to do an awful thing.

On one website they describe the FN C2A1 as the ugliest, yet the rarest of the FNs. It was actually the first rifle I ever carried onto an ex in Shilo, and I've always felt it to be a sleek gun.

Better in a box of Cosmoline, buried in the woods IMHO...GPS is your friend. :D (Of course I'm not condoning anything illegal)

That was actually "Squeaky" groaning & rolling in his grave :(

The estimate that I heard was that it was probably ONE of 5 REAL C2s out on the loose.

Most "C2s" are actually remarked Australians/C1s according to my sources.

Now I really want to cry 'cause I'm thinking of some good times with... absent friends

:( I saw this topic but tried not to open it.. knowing something baaddd was going to be inside. Of course curiosity got the better of me:redface:

There were also a number of receivers available when CAL LongBranch had it's closeout auction.
Whats the story behind this rifle? How did it manage to get sold to the public?
I had heard that some guys were able to buy directly from CAL, including SMGc1, and FNC1s.

Again, I hated to do this, but I could not envision me ever being able to own this live. I sure feel guilty, but it really is a nice piece. And getting rarer by the day as the Cdn government continues to smelter the last of it's C1/C2 and SMG warstocks.

Squeeky collected FNs. He had a CAL, FNC, 30-11, ect.
He had some friends in DCRA circles & was in the Militia in the '60s. He told me that he bought his No4T direct from the Mil when it was offered to members for $25.

I assume the C2 ect came from the same source (ie CAL sale to DCRA members).

One question WHY???
Cause it was available. It had been for sale for a while, and as there didn't seem to be any 12.2 owners lined up to buy it, I decided to get it.

Don't for a minute think that if the Liberals were successful in banning and confiscating handguns, that they were going to leave any of the restricted/prohibited smgs and longarms available. And don't think that the Liberals will never be back.....we all thought the conservatives were forever dead after the Mulroney years.
Hopefully by the time they ever do return to power, we'll be a stronger force to be reckoned with. But whatever happens, I'll have another little piece of history saved (albeit neutered).

Well, I was sad to see one been neutered like everyone else, but at least it is still in one piece and can be enjoyed for it's display value. Better than than having it melted down into a curling iron or something.

True justice could only be met by:
1) a repeal of the current gun ownership laws,
2) financial compensation for malicious damages, and
3) the legislated requirement for demilling of every liberal's prized bmw.

I'd surely settle for making them watch their Beamer get shot to bits on a celebratory CGN community .50 cal shoot. That would be one of those "Kodak moments" you read about...
