Lol, I need to step away from this thing for a while... I must admit though, it felt pretty good. I've always wanted to de-lug an sks. I can't see me ever taking it out of this stock so it's never going to have a bayonet on it. That lug is just dead weight, and snaggy. And I don't want the stock cleaning rod on it either, I don't use it. Never will.
One of my favourite things about the sks. They're so cheap and plentiful I don't mind going full bubba at this point. I bought it half Bubba'd already, may as well go full Bub. Gives me an avenue to scratch my tinkering itch without feeling guilty or costing a fortune.
While I was at it I re-crowned it, did a trigger job, made the front sight post thinner, and epoxy bedded the action. I figure what the hell... Doesn't cost me anything to do, why not. Gonna try it with Hornady SST's and see if it'll pass for a sporting/hunting rifle setup. Not expecting it to suddenly become super accurate, but I see no problem giving it the best chances for decent accuracy as possible.

I at least tried to cut a little style with the file...
