I found in my local gun shop a sporterized Swiss K31 in 30-30 with some crude fixed sights for 150$ it breaks my heart so see it in such a poor state. Should I buy it il try get pics up. Do you know if any k31 stocks are flying around the market
That ain't no K 31.
Looks like a 1889 S& R to me. Have one just like it, that I'd like to find a stock for. Mine at least has the barrel intact. Also looks like the mag is missing. Be hard to find one of those, as well. Grizz
I have one of those cut down 1911 conversions to 30-30.
It is one of the most accurate rifles I own in that chambering.
It will outshoot any lever action I've ever owned, including a Marlin, Winchester and Savage 99.
They may not be pretty but if you are looking for a cheap rifle to knock around in the truck, it will do yeoman's duty.
I had one that was scoped as well. It shot better than most people that shot it.
I must admit, they aren't the best looking girls at the ball but they certainly are willing, if you give them a chance.
Offer the shop $100. That's about all it will bring.
