Some time back I wanted a SPAS-12.
I still do. But I'm not grandfathered, so apparently that's a no. But I thought of an alternative.
Are there some schematics of a SPAS-12 or does anyone have some -really- good pictures? If I could get some good pictures, I could probably design a heatshield and a forearm that would look 'just like' the SPAS-12's long, perforated grille and forearm, then drill it and permanently attach it to the 870's forearm. Then I guess I could slap on an aftermarket folding stock with a pistol grip and weld a curved piece of steel onto the butt to make the carrying hook, or I might just do away with the carrying hook altogether and design a folding stock from scratch.
I'm entering the Mechanical Techniques CNC machining course at Durham. This is an opportunity I absolutely CANNOT miss.
Any ideas for me? Or better yet - does anyone have schematics or any 'blown up' or really big and detailed pictures of the SPAS-12? Or has somebody beaten me to this idea and made a SPAS-12 out of the 870 already?
