^^ Gotta love that! I'm heading to the shop right now to do one up like that M91/30.....:p

Edit: I didn't know for sure if it would be safe to post on this thread yet.

I'd bet money that my bone stock m91 fin with a dark counterbored barrel and some handloads would shoot circles around that mosin above!! I mean we work so hard to make sure that nothing is touching the barrel except the places that should but bubba he clamps on a bipod to the barrel to totally screw up the barrels natural movement??

I think that's my biggest problem with those who sporterise their guns. They make them shoot crappier NOT better!

I guess in the world of playing dressup with your rifle he who has the most tapco plastic and laser beams wins!!:)

In my world he who has the most bullet holes touching wins. I guess that's why bubba and I will always agree to disagree!!

Now I am no gun smith , but you cant even close the bolt on the mosin above, I think that was just a joke someone put together, you want serious? Check this guy out, one of my favorite vids of all time , skip to 6:50 to see how he "Thinks he usually holds it" ... Sweet back up irons bro.

Wow, and people defend these guys!!

My favorite quotes from this video are:

"this mag release is SO F*****G awesome cause you don't have to take your finger off the trigger" (anyone without enough sense to keep their hands off the trigger unless they're ready to break the shot is an idiot)

"this pouch is where I keep my extra batteries" (of course a plastic gun needs batteries! Batteries? Really)

Anyone else notice that the mags are loaded??

I find that this guy represents a good portion of new shooters. They spend all of their time in the basement playing dress up while guys like me are actually SHOOTING and practicing!! I know imagine that SHOOTING A GUN!!:)

Where I grew up, everyone hunted moose with a home sporterised Enfield. In my family the same rifle was has been used for three generations to hunt moose, bear and caribou. In a few years it will be used by the fourth generation of my family. It has done great service for my family and while some may think it butchered, I do not.
My grandfathers and great uncles served in WW2 and some died over there. When my grandfather converted it to a more hunting friendly rifle I do not question for one second whether he did the right thing. He earned the right to do whatever the #### he wanted to do with a gun from his war. That gun helped feed my family for 60 plus years, far more service than it did in the war. I'm proud t0 have that gun and use it.

I would never criticize this part of history. Way back then, it made perfect sense (financially, for one). Often, milsurps were the only rifles that many could afford. Today, it's a different story altogether; I don't think the two realities can be compared.

Indeed, there is more than one Bubba generation.
