Bubba's strikes again, and hes found his feminine side!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....no different than guys on here taking any other hunting rifle and cutting the barrel down or giving it a camo paint job.
I wouldn't do that to any rifle but each to their own...if it turns your crank.

yes, they're painted horrible colours, but they are painted horribly too! Looks like a teenage art project done with cheap house paint.

.....Well at least they appear to be complete. You can strip and refinish anything, but you cat put the wood back together or make the barrel longer again.
...On the other hand, perhaps they were Ishapore's and this was an improvement. ;)

The Pink & blue is a Ishapore & FWIW they are not mine.

The Pink & blue was made up as a raze to all the purists & as it was....most liked it!!! only posers/wannabes seem to dislike it. (to some of you...if you who don't like it & think thats a derogative remark in my post, take a step back & read your own posts)
The woodwork on the P&B was unusable for a resto as someone tried fitting Volley sights but in the wrong place! the wood is full of bondo/bog/panel leveling paste, & so only suitable for something like this or the fireplace! the colour scheme is borrowed from the Britten Motorbike.

The No4 is also an assembly of parts & was painted as a project by an Art student.

Here's more pics.

She's a 1916 Lithgow. A little worse for wear but isn't as bad as it looks. The numbers match that i can find, I'll have to strip the mag, so much paint I cant see any marks at all. The bore looks really good.

I'm going to try to strip all the paint and see what I end up with. Then I'm going to try and restore her.

One more thing, I see it had the mag cut off. Do I need a special forend or will any no1 mk3 forend work. I've found all the parts i need at Liberty tree collectors but i was wondering about that.

Wow, that is FUGLY!!! I can't wait to see it all cleaned up and back together! Did you notice that it is a heavy target barrel too! Look at the top of the rear of the barrel on the flat spot. There is an H there. These are supposed to be great! Can you take more pictures of the front of the reciever and rear of the barrel area and post them? Apparently these were target rifles and then turned into sniper rifles during WWII. Very cool find! Hopefully Smellie or one of the other Enfield guru's will help out with that description...

Cheers,

Ian
