Took a long time to finish this, as I lost interest then decided to wrap it up on a stat holiday. Is a Charles Daly 601 M4 copy (also marked Chiappa on the barrel). Had some extraction issues that were the result of a weak extractor, which was irreplaceable due to the unserviceable nature of the CD bolt head, covered on another thread. I was able to get a serviceable bolt head on warranty; was a heck of a job to replace as the firing pin retaining pin was out of spec, and I broke two punches with the many in's and out's. I'm personally not a fan of sights on a shotgun, a result of growing up waterfowl hunting. I tried to torch the front sight off... no dice. So I ground it off, shaping a crude sight out of a stub. Removed the rear sight and and pic rail, and epoxied closed the holes... All bottom drawer bubba and hella permanent. Could and may still re-oil them to get them closer to matching, but that's for another day. The threads for the recoil tube on this CD receiver were not to Benelli spec, so the tube that came with the stock wouldn't work properly, until I used a snipe and forced it on, also permanently. Replaced the recoil spring with a Benelli one while at it. Modified a Limbsaver recoil pad to fit and replaced the crap one that came on it. Below is the end result. For the record, this is not my main or backup shotgun, it's my barn gun.
