. Got a few more pics if anyone is interested of the trigger guard mod that was made.So now that I'm finished my SKS-D adventure its back to the Lee Enfield fun with a little CZ 858 thrown in to keep me semi sane.

Please edit your post and put each picture on it's own line, starting at the left margin at and ending at [/IMG}
They are stringing out to the right considerably.

Interesting job there. Someone designed and built a unique ejection system for 7.62.
Does the bolt have the DCRA number on top of the handle as well?

Is the barrel full length with 7.62 CA on it?

OK will attempt the edit. Barrel is full length.Top of the bolt has been polished and all I can see is the LB marks and the 5 that is stamped on the side of the bolt handle.

Cantom if the pic are to big just hit Ctrl and the - (minus sign far right on your key board) and that should shrink the photos for ya.

It's not that. If you hit edit, you'll see all your pics are beside each other. Each needs to be on it's own line, then they'll display vertically from the left vs way over to the right as they are now.

I hope so.Its time for another enfield project but tailored to me.Not sure if I'm going to stay with all long branch furniture or use what I have.Just got a couple of long butts so it might be a hodge podge (mixture) we'll see as time goes on.Here's a pic of how I got it.Thanks my86hd.

You know, we really should bring back public hangings.... or, at the very least, the pillory for people who do something like this to something this bloody scarce.

Oh well, at least Bubba didn't chop the barrel.

I think there will be a fibre stock for a Number 4 up on the EE in short order.

Beautiful specimen, great potential.

Yeah, the DCRA used to shoot all single-shot but they fed from the magazine with .303. It sounds like a sort-of pokey kind of shooting, mostly slow-fire at targets that stand still, but when you realise that they were doing it with iron sights, at 600 to 1200 yards.... and doing it with whatever ammo the QM handed them for the day.... it's rather challenging. And you shot, no matter what the conditions. I once marked a target for old Bill Brown (Captain of the Canadian Bisley Team at one point, many years ago) and, as far as I'm concerned, anyone who can post a 74x75 at 600 yards, in a switching 25-mph wind, is a lot better shot than I'll ever be!

But WHAT a toy to find!

Congrats.

Thank you,Thank you very much (said with my best Elvis impersonation)I'll probably save the plastic stock for one of my No 5s

Hehe just kidding. It'll probably go on another bubba enfield I have.Later

Hey guys other then the hole in the charger bridge/guide the rest of the rifle is fine and will be debubbaded. Now I get to do a bunch of research on this fine firearm series.

is the charger bridge missing ?

I had a rifle that I had to replace the charger bridge. I used a press to remove the destroyed one, then cleaned it up with a file, then salvaged a good one from a crushed receiver and silver soldered it on the good receiver.

some were pinned and soldered in while others were only soldered in.

Howdy Woodchopper. When are you going to update your site? Sent you a email from it a couple of days ago.Charger bridge is ok just has the two holes drilled side to side where the front scope mount screw went through. Thinking of getting the 7.62 mm charger adapter and stuffing in there.Yes I know its a single shot but was hoping it would help hide the holes.

yes I really need to do a big update to my site.

and check my e-mail more then once a month

you should be able to get those holes welded up, they are far enough away from the locking lug recesses that heat should not be a big issue, just stick plugs in and have them tacked in :D good as new.

I have a new in the wrap front sight base that I am willing to contribute to the restoration of that rifle if you need one

Thanks for the generous offer Sir. I have a take off 303 barrel with a LB front sight assembly that I was gong to use. But thank you very much.
