I've been watching a few Buck Commander shows this afternoon (got the itch for bow season to roll around). These guys spend more time hamming it up for photo ops than providing an enjoyable presentation of a deer hunt. Yeah, there are at least some good, albeit brief, deer footage segments, but I sure won't go out of my way to tune in to future segments based on what I've seen today. It may be better than nothing but that's about all. Very disappointed.
 
X2. Pretty much every outdoor fishing and hunting show is nothing more than an infomercial for hunting gear. I gave up watching all of it a long time ago. I hear there is a great reality hunting program that anyone can be part of starting this fall.
 
you realize that it is a reality show not different than all other ones and is meant for entertainment right? The only difference between this one and most of the other reality shows is it focuses on the firearms/hunting/good ole boy rather than exotic islands/hollywood stars and all that other drivel.

Ahhh all this #####ing and complaining reminds me of the simpler days of Red Fischer and Scuttle Butt Lodge !

Trust you all feel more better now that it is out in the open your at home watching the idiot box and not out in the great out of doors.
Me, just came back from a lil excursion along the Frser river watching a few Swans and Ducks dabbling about in the Slough.
Now if I can only find those woodies I can hear whistling Saturday would just be about perfect.

Meateater is the only hunting show worth watching in my opinion.

Where are you finding it on OLN? I've been paying $2.99 an episode to view it on the VHX website.
 
I don't watch any of them, met the cast of a couple they were nice, talked to more on the phone lately they were nice, and in the end I'm glad we have them as anything spreading hunting in the meanstream is positive. Fifteen years ago the plethora of hunting shows on TV today was unimaginable. And yep I'm sure the majority of the shows stink too... I don't watch TV so I'll likely have a hard time finding out.
 
I watch it like the superbowl for the comercials,lol but its job is to pull people on the fence about hunting on to our side, its not meant for us core hunters, its to show average un educated on the fence joe hey these guys play MLB sell out concert stadiums and yet they still wanna hunt like average people, and shows the positive side of hunting, and proper use of firearms bows etc. Its really a good thing
