Buck Expert crew caught poaching

Hi guys,

This whole story just make me sick.

I remember meeting M Pepin at a hunting show in Mtl, and thought that he was pushing his product a bit too much. Didn't like his way of abording people. When someone tells you that no other products work beside theirs was enough to stop me from buying from them. Putting down the competition is not my way of promoting ...

Not saying he is this or that, just didn't like him.

The fine, is ridicule if you ask me. It should of been double at least. For them, it's nothing. Since this "incident", it would seem that M.Pepin is no more the owner but now works for Buck Expert as a rep or something like that.

3 of these guys were caught because they sent their antlers by courrier to Qc, but driver notice that blood was leeking from the packages and then called the authorities. It's true that the carcasses were left rotting in the wood, this alone is a huge lack of respect for the game and extremely bad publicity for us hunters...

Since, lots of stories about the cie ways of doing business, including urine collection that was sold as "doe urine" but really was pig urine. That one would need to be verify but I kinda beleive it.

To finish, I think they should loose their right to hunt not only in Alberta but on all Canadian provinces, for which, I beleive, is a very light sentence.

I did bought some of their products (urine) in the past but beleive me..... no more...

Grrrrrrrr...

I knew guys in Northern Ontario who "poached" by shooting their moose a day early. But they were trying hard to feed their large families and that meat helped them do it.

I never had a problem with those guys and apparently neither did the local CO's.

But these fuc*ers, shooting game animals and letting them rot make me sick.

There should be larger, heavier fines for poachers who let the meat rot.

I agree, the fines and criminal charges should be much higher than they are!

Well they travel the country side. I saw their product in Pictou, at the gun show, told the guy selling the story, he did not know of it. I would check thier sport show sched. , and pass out a flier on hunting ethics.:D

I sent out a few emails today to companies still supporting selling Buck Expert products. Hopefully the emails with the links attached will help them change thier mind.

I never got around to reading this thread last spring. Since Im in the hunting retail business I will do my part to not order any buck expert products in the future

slimeball ####s

What brought this to my attention once again was a half hour show sponsored and hosted by "Buck Expert" on Wild TV. Buck Expert was plastered on the tube for a half hour straight :puke:.

I have sent a PM to my buddy Scott at Wild TV. I hope they have a good look at this issue and take it into consideration in future programing.

We have to stop supporting these guys and thier business. No excuses.

When I get some free time I am going to research this a little further. I know that one of the convicted is dead. But I would like to see evidence that the rest of the convicted folks are no longer involved with Buck Expert.

I would also like to see some public apology from the company and what they are going to do to see that this never happens again. If this is available to the public and I am behind the times, please forgive me.

I want to see hard evidence that this issue has been resolved and even then I am sure that I will ever support this company.

The proof is in the pudding, it would take allot to change my mind.

Mario Pepin has since died of cancer, about a month ago,you might want to check into remington ,I thing they may have picked up the buck pro products and put there own label on them.Buck pro is one product I will never pruchase ,no need to support paochers.
