Buck Mark. Easier to take apart to clean and much better trigger out of the box. I would also recommend the Beretta Neos U22 if you don't mind the looks.

The Ruger 22/45 has a polymer frame with fairly heavy steel upper. The time I hefted one in a store I didn't like the overall balance due to this compared to the Buckmark that seems to settle into my hand with a much nicer balance.

The other Rugers with the Luger like grip angle are steel and don't suffer from this odd balance issue.

Try holding all three of them along with anything else you can find and make up your own mind.

I have a Ruger MkII 5.5" bull barrel and a MkIII 22/45 with the 4.5" slabside barrel. Love 'em both. But I plan on picking up a Buckmark one day, too.

I think you would be happy with & well served with either....
