Hey guys~been thinking about this allot lately. I'm currently in "saving" mode for an Anschutz...but it's at times like these I hope I DON'T see certain rifles pop-up in the EE. (a certain shotgun too, but this is the rimfire forum :) ) For me, 3 rifles that qualify are the Marlin 25 MB (Midget Magnum), Marlin 7000 and H&R Handi Rifle in 17M2. There is an H&R in the EE now...but I'm ignoring it. :) None of these are remarkable in any way, save for not being very common rifles to see come-up for sale here in Canada. I'm also pretty sure none of them will do anything my current rimfires don't probably do better as it is. Still, as a rimfire enthusiast...it's fun to try all the flavors that interest you, even if you know there is better than a 50/50 chance that they won't live up to the expectations. In the case of the H&R~likely the trigger.

Any rifles on the "bucket list" for you guys? Don't need to be fancy, we all have guns that fall into that category I'm sure. More curious about the ones that are attainable. Maybe others can chime in with photos/stories. Especially interested in hunting/pest control stories. Always curious about what (OTHER than targets) people use their rimfires for.
 
On my wish list... in no particular order

1885 in 22lr
99% of my time with 22's these days is either plinking, or chasing hares... seems like this would be a nice little thing to carry around in the wood.

Just because I stupidly sold it off, a Winchester model 75 target 22. It had redfield target peep and front hooded sight with very fine cross hairs. Bull barrel which I'm pretty sure was 26". Needed the money years ago and was offered a real good amount from my dad's cousin. Every time I think about it I feel like banging my head off the wall for letting it go.
 
Anchutz woodchucker youth rifle in .22. It was my very first rifle and given to my by my grandfather when I was 10. My degenerate uncle pawned it without me knowing when I was in my 20s :mad::mad::mad:.

I would pay ANYTHING to have that exact rifle back
 
my bucket list 22 is a mint condition Ithaca model 72 deluxe, have one in fair condition but receiver is tarnished, hoping to one day find one in mint condition, seen them come up occasionally in the US but rare in Canada, so far at least lol
 
I am going out on a limb and say the Sako Fin fire Range and of course the Fin fire Full stock that one fine member here has.
Those are two that would be Holy Grail's when the funds become available.

Seen at a gun show in Westmount (yah, that long ago): a Webley Fosberry in 22LR. Google will say it doesn't exist. I could have had it for $800; or two months pay.

On a similar note: LeBaron on St. Laurent St. Sold three CZ single action revolvers in 38 flush wadcutter. If you have one, please PM
 
Im already of thinking of trading in my annie for a higher end one... lol

Have always liked the CZ 455 grey though. Dont think ill ever get it, i like the looks though.

I'm thinking a 54 action Anschütz would be nice, probably the 1712 Silhouette. Not sure I'd want to own one, but at least would like to try a Walther at some point since I hear such good things about their triggers.

I used to be interested in a Remington 40X, but after reading Bill Calfee's thoughts on the action design I've lost interest, not a rifle I'd pay a premium for anymore.

I lucked into getting my dream Weatherby XXII last year, happened to catch a collector selling his collection at the right time. Really thought I'd never have the chance to own one in my life.

Other than that, about the only other thing I'd want to try is a Stiller 2500X or Turbo action custom build in a McMillan stock.

I also kinda fancy the new Boyds At-One stock, I'm half tempted to do another CZ build, or perhaps just get it as a second stock for a current rifle.

Did I mention the Marlin 717? :) Some worrisome OOB reports on these guns resulting in catastrophic failures, which is reportedly why Marlin dropped the model. However, a cheap/light 17M2 semi holds some appeal. I know a guy who has 2 of them out in AB, and won't part with either. :)
 
I would absolutely love to own an original Henry rifle. They are chambered in .44 rimfire so applicable to the rimfire status. There is one on the EE but no way I could justify the $24,500 asking price to myself or my lovely wife. I will settle for one of the reproductions from Henry Repeating Arms but one of the originals is my holy grail.
