Buckmark Ammo?

Hey everybody!

I'm new to CGN, so please forgive me if this has already been covered somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it thus far...

I just bought a new Buckmark .22LR, and was wondering what others have found to be reliable, accurate ammo. I know that all guns behave differently, but if several others have had some degree of success with a particular brand, at least I'll have some sort of launching point.

All those semi auto rimfire pistol were designed for high velocity ammo. bullet weight should be of 38-40 gr.

My Buckmark Target seems to like the Federal Red Box stuff as well as the Federal Party box (505 round).

I feed mine all of the cheap high velocity stuff. Federal bulk, Remington Thunderbolt, Winchester bulk, etc.

All pretty reliable. Accuracy may be another story.

When you first buy it, try some Mini-Mags or similar to break it in. Not necessary but your gun should run great during and after. IMO .22s can be a pain when new.

Until you break it in you won't be too happy using bulk ammo. Buy a few hundred rounds of premium 22 ammo and then let loose with the cheapo stuff. I have the rifle version and mine shoots Fed American Eagle very well. FS

My Buckmark Camper model pistol loves that American Eagle ammo (so do all my other .22's!!)

My Buckmark likes CCI standard velocity 40gr. Like the others mentioned - the bulk stuff tends to cause issues (mine were mostly stovepipes) until the pistol was broken in.

my buckmark camper likes anything except thunderbolts.

I feed my Countour CCI Mini Mags and Federal Gameshock.

Dynapoints and American Eagle cause stovepipes and failures to feed respectively.
