I'm going to buy another .22 hand gun, and after many hours of research and handling a few to see how they feel, the Buckmark seems to fit my hand just right. If there are any Buckmark owners out there - let me know what you think about this gun?
Thanks
Stosh

Great gun with good trigger, I like the model with a URX grip and fiber optic front site better though

Strike that meant UDX too many X'x to remember

I chose the wood grips of the UDX after trying the URX grips. I found the rubber URX grips too sticky in my hand -- it was difficult moving the gun that last fraction to the perfect grip. If this makes no sense to you, it's because I'm trying to remember why I chose the way I did after all these years.

I've owned more than twenty handguns and have cut back to only two -- the stainless steel Buckmark UDX was the first gun I owned and is the last gun I shot a couple of weeks ago.

Agree meant the wooden grips with fiber optic..front.. now wife's gun and just loves it..

Thanks for the input. Not a lot of choices locally. The one I have ordered this morning doesn't have the fibre optic site. Can the sites be changed?
Thanks

Love my Buckmark. Does well with bulk 525 Federal bulk ammo. McFadden Ultimate Clip Loader is the best accessory I've bought for it. I liked it so much I got a BuckMark rifle. Yes, you can change to the front fiber optic sight. I would buy it again.

Great pistol, and a great price in the base models too! Mechanically and functionally a much superior pistol to a GSG, and the base models are cheaper too. The front sight is interchangeable but for what it will cost you might as well buy the next model up with the fibre optic and it will be cheaper then purchasing seperately. I know Shooter's Choice in Kitchener/Waterloo has a large stock of most models and they will ship.

Thanks for all the input. I prefer to buy locally, and will get the model with regular sights. Sounds like the Buckmarks are very good guns, and great value. Can't wait to pick it up and take it to the range.

How often should it be taken apart and cleaned?
Thanks

I clean the action and put a snake though the barrel at about 500 rds and do not do a complete take down ( that can be an experience).
The manual has an interesting comment on cleaning.
