I have a fairly new..1000 rounds...buckmark plus udx pistol and I can't go a full magazine without a misfire. I have tried 4-5 different brands of ammo and no difference. Could it be the gun or just the ammo?
Ideas

I also have the Buck Mark Practical and it feeds the CCI Blazers very reliably....I believe the Blazers are a little higher velocity than many other bulk rounds and my Buck Mark likes the extra power to help cycle it.

Of course it can be the gun.....but of the two 22lr semis I own, including the Buck Mark and a S&W 41, in my limited experience, it's more likely to be ammo....once you find one your gun likes, stick with it.

Good luck!

Are they misfires or feeding/ejection issues?

If the gun is chambering and ejecting rounds without issue, but the firing pin is not hitting the rim of the case to set it off you might have other issues.

You say there is 1000 rounds through it? Did you have these issues the whole time or just lately?

Have you tried different ammo?

Have you cleaned the gun thoroughly? Including firing pin, spring, and channel?

You need to give us a little more info.

Edit: Sorry just saw about the 4-5 different brands of ammo. If this is the case then there is something else wrong here, and I would be cleaning the #### out of the firing pin channel, spring, etc. Lightly oil it up, but not heavily. .22's tend to be pretty dirty guns and if your firing pin channel has enough crap built up you can get such a problem.

This was the first problem to happen on my 10/22 after never cleaning it in a couple thousand rounds.

I had the same problem with my new Buckmark pistol.

Turned out to be the mag was the problem....... I took it back to the store where I bought it and they swapped out mags.

IMHO there are very few FTL problems with pistols that are not mag related.....

The feed problem i had thought was the mag but tried different ones and the feed problems are never consistant with one mag.
Most of the problems are no fire..looks like a good hit from the pin but constantly no fires with all amo that i have tried

Hi OP,

Can you confirm that tightening the screws resolved the issue?

With out highjacking this thread iv been experiencing a similar problem, with my URX failing to eject.
I have been using Federal GOLD Target ammo and some other ammo that came recommended, however it fails to eject 80% of the time. Then a fellow club member suggested I try Hyper Velocity ammo, and that stuff works every time with out any issues.

Im very curious if tightening these screws actually resolved the problem. im going to look and into it.
I hope i dont have to use the HV ammo every time as i find its not as accurate especially at longer distances.

here is a link to my thread if you care to make any helpful comments.
