I know they are discontinued and they are nice rifles but this seems a bit much. The pic attached is in US $ and I recently saw a couple on G@n po$t for 2700$. Am I missing something or are they rare? For that kind of quid I may be tempted to move mine. This is not a WTS add, just wondering.

nuts buy them for 600 bucks brand new when they first come out..

The reports of "face shots" is what kept me from buying one when they were around $600.
Back then Marlin 39's and 9422's were also around the same price so in today's market a somewhat rare $600 gun would be closer to $1500.

Yes, it does spray powder in your face and while accurate it’s not amazingly accurate . I will say my heavy barrel version has never failed or jammed in the 10 plus years I have had it. 749$ is what I recall paying and that seemed fair .

Jam is right!

I had one I loved for hunting grouse but as soon as it got cold it jammed constantly. It always had a sticky slide in the cold no matter what you did and .22 couldn’t kick it back.

I miss that gun but I missed a lot more birds and rabbits because of it. I practically gave it away and I’ve saved money doing that now I hit what I’m aiming at lol

Face shots with debris ... lots of way better + nicer 22s to choose from and under 1K if not 6/700.00 or sofor example. They did not market well and last + no wonder.

A buddy of mine disassembled his and had it cerakoted. He gave it to me in a box and a big ziplock bag with all the parts. Was a F uckin nightmare putting it all back together. John M would not be happy with his name on this firearm!!

For that kind of $$... I'd be expecting a Striplin Custom Gunworks build...

It was the same with the Winchester 9410. When they were being made you almost couldn’t give them away then after a couple of years after they were discontinued they were like gold.Gun enthusiasts can be a weird bunch at times

I had one. It was a nice and i enjoyed it. Magazine were very easy to load and i liked how it shouldered. When it was priced at $600cdn new that was ok. I think the current pricing is ( due to being a discontinued product) is steep. I think Tandemkross makes some upgrades for it. Yeah, expect some eye grit from the cycling sometimes. It's a nice design, but the prices now seem extravagant.

Honestly, my 10/22 in an aftermarket stock is just as much fun at a much lower price point.
