Hi Everyone,
Im hoping someone here can help me out with this rather bizarre problem.
After MUCH research into what .22 handgun I should buy, I got a brand spankin' new URX Practical.
Took it to the range and first shot, i get a FTE.
2nd FTE, 3rd FTE!!, u get the point....
I was using Federal GOLD Target, the ammo that was suggested to me by the gun-shop owner, and online. The other ammo I read was good for the URX was Blazer, I happen to have some of that too, so I try it, same thing FTE!
Luckily there was a very kind and friendly guy at the range who was shooting a similar Buckmark and told me to try his Hyper Velocity Remington Yellow Jackets.
So i did, and it works like a charm, every time.
Can anyone tell me if they ran into this before? do i need to use HV ammo on the Buckmark? I have not heard of this before, and certainly no one mentioned it. However this guy at the range knew right away. So that leaves me to believe its a common issue.
On a side note I had a few boxes of premium Eley ammo, that failed too. I had one box of HV CCI's, they worked.
I tried my ammo on his gun, that's been fired over 2000+ and his FTE as well. So its not just my gun, or the fact i didnt clean it before I took it to the range for the 1st time.
Am i suck using HV ammo?
