probally a question already beaten to death, but i'm going to be using a shotgun loaded with buckshot for deer(00 Buck). I'm shooting a semi-auto Baikal, any idea of choke to use with this set up. thanks again,
He might be in an area that allows only "multiple projectiles/shotgun only", and if that is the case our local Deerhunters use 3" 000 buck, and get close.
I found ( after years of shotgun only regs in my old hunting area) that Full choke squeezes the big pellets too much and causes poor patterns. I had the best luck with modified and limited my shots to 30 yards or less. ALWAYS pattern your gun before hunting. Very few shotguns shoot where they are pointed. I assure you, you will be surprised when you pattern that Baikal.
