Buddy of mine came across weird .22 P38

I haven\t seen it though he says the gun is a byf with a .22 barrel sleeve and the regular P.38 has a .22 mag insert ...anybody ever heard of something like this ?

there were .22 p 38 made . International firearms or interarms , sold them in the 1960-70’s . there was also a conversion kit made. trade ex had some of the slides listed in there parts section. try and post some pictures.
there are lots of pictures on google.

Most likely a .22 caliber conversion kit mated with a byf pistol. Need pictures!
