Budget 18.6 inch AR15 barrel options?

I know with the current OIC many of the previous NR receiver options are in limbo. Just the same I’m planning several builds and I’m curious if a budget 18.6” AR15 barrel exists? Who in Canada stocks or stocked them?

Faxon and Maple Ridge are two I’m familiar with, what else was/is out there?

My only recommendation is to purchase one from a retailer that has a good support policy. I purchased an 18.6 last year and the gas port was drilled through the entire barrel. Fortunately I purchased it from SFRC, emailed them pictures late Thursday night of the gas port got an actual call Friday morning saying a replacement barrel was in the mail and to send back the defective barrel with the prepaid label that was included with the replacement.

I should clarify mine was drilled through the entire barrel that the barrel wasn't usable. Below is a picture of the defective barrel. This isn't a MRA barrel, it's a BCL.

Wow. This is an MRA Barrel? Never seen anything like that from any manufacturer. I’ve seen undersized ports but never a hole drilled all the way through. Also, is that fluting randomly milled? It doesn’t look like anything is inline with 12 O’clock.

That's ridiculous. I just bought a Maple Ridge barrel and the gas port is ever so slightly off 12'oclock (compared to the timing pin at the base of the barrel). I suspect it will still work fine, but I expected precision machining for the price. They also don't dimple the barrel for gas block set pins. Given how expensive they are, the QC is lacking. I would not recommend Maple Ridge Armory barrels.
 
We have sold a good number of our 4150 Chrome-Lined Bushmaster ACR barrels to customer putting them in other, non-ACR rifles, previously NR AR types. We have added a menu option for us to prepare an "AR15" type gas port as a $5 option.
These are very high quality, accurate, lightweight barrels.
