Budget AR-15 upper 10,5 build

Allright , so im planning to start a build for a 10,5 upper , and i want to pay around 500$ max . So far i ve spotted a couple parts and the hardess to find is the barrel , cheapess i found was a NEA ( yeah i know , nea...).

So my questions is :
- Does anyone have tried to build a NEA barrel with another brand of upper ?
- Does NEA fits only NEA uppers ?
- Does anyone know where to find a 10,5 barrel around 200$? ( i saw one on dlask at 250$ , but if i found cheaper that would be great)

Keep in mind i don't want the super dooper racing upper at 2000$ , juste want to have fun with a budget upper .

I built an upper using a RRA upper and NEA 10.5 barrel. There was no fitment issues and it shoots quite well.

IMO of all things that NEA make, their barrels are the best item.

Does your BCG is a NEA ? ( just in case their chamber only fits their bgc for some reason)
 
I even use NEA barrels on my 2 AR uppers... I've got a 12" barrel on my CQB rig and 14.5" mid length gas tube on my SR rig. :cool:

I'm even using Canadian made upper receivers and BCGs... Colt / Colt and Motiuk/NEA... my clients torture my NEA barrels hard, harder, and hardest... I'm pleased and so are they....


The NEA dudes certainly got them barrels right! :evil:

LANZ shooting supplies has SJ 10.5" barrels in stock.
