Hi all,

was having a discussion with a few buddies, and id like to know what the consensus is on this question from the GunNut community.

"if you had to pick one of these two optics for your primary rifle, which would it be"?
(I know there are better choices out there, but hypothetically is you HAD to pick one of these two...)

TRS.
Not a big fan of the on/off buttons of the sparc.
but I only spent a little bit of time with one on my buddy's rifle though.

Trs-25, if you want an el cheapo. They work wonderfully, and are hard to beat at that price. I have several, because I like how low they sit. If you have a few more bucks, I'd suggest a Lucid hd-7, burris AR-332, or Eotech.

I own a TRS-25, and just yesterday was looking at both the Strikefire and Sparc. I thought I wanted the Sparc because of the 2moa dot, but after comparing the 2 side by side, I much preferred the Strikefire, the glass was more clear, the dot was crisper, and it has a larger field of view.

That being said I do enjoy my TRS-25, I think it is a great value and frankly I found the Sparc to be almost identical to my TRS, just twice the price. My next red dot will be a Strikefire, maybe even the 2nd gen one which gets rid of the irritating power and NV buttons.
