Hello all, just wanted to share my build that Jerry from mystic precision helped me out with alot. He sourced me a pre-chambered and threaded barrel for my savage axis action and set me up with the proper dies. I basically purchased a new savage axis rifle chambered in .308. Removed the factory barrel and installed a schillen select match stainless barrel. 26" long varmint contoured in a .260 rem ackley improved. I purchased a boyds stock in bull barrel and found a used timney trigger. All in with dies, gun, barrel, barrel nut wrench, trigger, ive spent $1200. Jerry has been truely great supporting me with his knowledge and support. The rifle shot .5 moa first 3 bullets down it. Ive dialed it in to a .25 moa gun using bergers and H4350 powder. Thanks Jerry!!!

Outstanding...

Glad it all worked out for you. Nice to see budget builds back on the site... ubber expensive customs are wonderful too but given the changes in the economy, you don't need to spend a fortune to get wonderful results.

Jerry
