makes Wainwright look like a good choice.
Edmonton could work using the Passchendale range, but it does not have the firing berms. Or use the ATS but set up targets if you want berms. R&Q are an issue, well just that there are no quarters, and no you can't set up mod in my back yard
Wainwright will depend on how busy they are. I don't mind the quartersnow that they have the Yukon lodges built.
only problem I see is that if I go I would end up working on a bunch of issues there that need sorting.![]()
Edmonton is no good without gallery target systems that we can do snap and rapid on. Using the ATS last year was a giant waste of time, which means it was also a waste of money. A no go for service rifle training. Pistol we can do here. How about a proposal to renovate the entire Edmonton range complex into gallery and gunfighter ranges woodchopper? In the budget for next year?
Regardless, whatever practice time we get and wherever it happens will be up to the individual areas funding it, no money from DAT this year except for CFSAC proper. Therefore if the area can not afford it, it will be up to individual units to pay for training. LFWA seems on track for funding but other areas maybe not so much thus the comment about Valcartier being dead these days.
