Budget flattop sight recommendation please.

that is not $250 US
are there any 'budget' options available? doesnt have to be the same, but ideally either flip up or low profile. these are for a same-plane rail system so ideally a matched front/rear set.

If you don't mind plastic (sorry polymer) than the MBUS looks decent. ATR has them, as does Brownells (not in stock currently though). I am going to grab a set and post some feedback...

does anyone here own the MBUS? do they hold zero? are the thick plastic ears distracting?

i might just have to wait and get some proper metal ones in the states when im down there, maybe i can pick something up at a gun show.
probably a stupid question - but can i just bring battle sights back across the border right - or do they also require export permits? everything ive ordered from the states till this point has been all rem 700/870 type stuff which is mostly unregulated.
