Here's my budget M24 inspired build. Just got back from being glass bedded, cannot wait to zero it and get some nice groups. Thought I would share with you guys

Specs:
Remington 700 5R .308win
H-S Precision PST-006 stock
First gen H-S magazine system
Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm
Leupold classic one piece base
Leupold low rings
Turner national match service rifle sling
Harris bipod 9-13" notched.

Next upgrade will definitely be better optics

You are right about the box mag but this is inspired build. The M24A2 has a mag system, however I have seen random military pics of the original M24 upgraded with mag system and adjustable cheek piece.
 
Who did you buy the stock from? I am interested in PST026 or the stock that is displayed as PST006 on the HS website.

Nice looking gun, don't forget to share the range report!

I bought the stock used on here. I believe it was originally purchased from Alberta tactical rifle supply.
