Does a First focal point crosshair get to big for 1” targets

There is a cheapish Leopold, $280ish I think. Used to be the VX1 but I think its named something else now.

Bushnell Banner Dust to Dawn 3-9x40 would be my choice i still have my 3-9x40 that i bought 15 years ago - it simply works well

The Diana 52 is a verified scope Smasher . Make sure you get a scope with a no questions lifetime warranty .
Yes.

You specifically need to buy an air rifle rated scope or you will be wasting your money. I have a few of the Hawke line scopes and they are pretty decent.

Hawke makes scopes that survive on springers. The Diana 52 is a very powerful air rifle, so make sure the rings have a recoil stop pin.

For one inch targets at 50 and 100 yards you need more magnification rather than less, 16X or more. At the same time, using a magnum springer like the Diana 52, with it's considerable recoil, it will be difficult to hit a one inch target at 100 yards with anything approaching regularity; even at 50 it will be a challenge.

Hawke AirMax if you can afford it or you can try discovery but talk to Wes about which would be best for a magnum springer.

Use Sporsmatch UK mounts for the Hawke scope and it's also worth investing in a Fat Wrench (I think that's what it is) torque screwdriver before they creep up the dovetail and the retain pin starts to cut through the top of the action. Yes - saw it happen on my HW80 so sad...(
