I wanted to get into loading my own so I called Henry at Budget Shooting Supplies. He's an enthusiastic guy and a pleasure to deal with, shipping was super fast and I couldn't be happier. Looking forward to dealing with him again!!

Henry and BSS are awesome. Aside from powders and primers, I get everything from him. Except that one time I found a ton of 175gr SMKs at BassPro and cleaned them out :)
 
I've done business with Henry many times... top notch service and excellent prices... I highly recommended Budget.
 
Nice guy, I've bought from him before, but I think he needs to rename his website/company. "Budget" no longer applies when you're charging $44/lb for powder (Varget) and $73/1000 primers (BR2)
 
Just ordered some bullets from him. He only had the larger quantity listed so I emailed him . He got right back to me and added the smaller quantity listing for me to order.

Great price and great to deal with.

The only weird thing is I got nottified that canada post cant deliver to the door I got to go pick them up and show my id. Which is weird because all my stuff comes to the door.

Ya you're right, he should absorb the higher cost and go out of business!! Prices are up, just the way it is and it sure ISN'T Henry's fault. I've dealt with him multiple times and it's the 1st place I look when I need reloading stuff. Best service, best attitude, best communication and always great to deal with!!! Nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks so. Matter of fact I've got an order in process as I type this!!!!!
 
If I need to special order something I email Henry.


I jumped quickly a few weeks ago and got 2 pounds of Bullseye from him. How awesome is that? ;)

I suppose it depends on what you're looking for. I've ordered Berry's .50AE bullets from him - even with shipping best deal by far around. And he/theyr'e so easy to deal with.

So you're saying Henry (Budget) is still marking up the powder the same % as he use to it's just the manufactures that have raised the prices?

If that's true then why is Varget still being sold for $31.40/lb and $224.40/8lb by retailers right now, while Henry is charging $44/lb and $320/8lb. I can't see any reason why Henry would have to purchase the powder from the manufacture for 71% higher price then other retailers.

If prices go up by the manufacture I understand and am willing to pay them. But when a retailer is deliberately gouging it's customers to such an extreme I don't think they are being fair or respectful to their customers.
