Budget spotting scope recommendations

Is Kowa preferred over Leupold? I know nothing about Kowa. I can get a Leupold Alpine sx-2 20-40x, 85 mm for my prices range. Only problem is living away from retail centres I don’t have much opportunity to look through different optics.

Kowa is high end , Leopold is more mid range. Not in your price range by a fair margin, but I have the Howa TSN 883, and I actually preferred it to a similarly priced Swarovski. Pelee Wings offers good prices.

I ended up purchasing a Leupold SX-4 15-45x. Hopefully it will work for me,

the first spotter I owned was one of those and it works great. I have a better Ziess now but there is nothing wrong with that leupold.
