Lol either your bad at math, old pricing or it's Friday so you may be drunk lol. It's half that in 45-70 $50 a 20box (the HMS bear load that sold out in a day was $30 a box unlike cabelas $65 a box).

Off topic but EPPs does carry obscure stuff and done not always have it on the website so I would give them a call.
 
Just know what the guy behind the counter told a customer beside me. I reload my own so I wasn't paying too much attention.

I have indeed seen Buffalo Bore ammo selling for CAD$97-98/20rnds from Canadian retailers. They make several different kinds of .45-70 ammo. I believe this used Barnes TSX bullets, not hard cast, thus the price.
Buffalo Bore ammo is an option for those who don't reload and want more than the anemic mainstream loads but at those prices, reloading will pay off pretty quick; especially with a setup like a Lee Loader and a basic beam scale.
